Our books of different styles take us to amazing destinations where we enjoy discussing it among like-minded crowd.

Our first choice was “All that man is” by British author David Szalay. 

It is a book about nine men, nine periods of life, nine life situations: from a melancholic teenager-backpacker, through an antipathetic young man in a faceless Cypriot hotel, a bodyguard in love with an elite prostitute, a conceited professor shocked by the knowledge that his girlfriend is pregnant, a tabloid journalist on the trail of an affair. a high-ranking politician, a middle-aged real estate agent, a jaded Scot stuck in the Dalmatian hinterland and an oligarch contemplating suicide, to an aging British diplomat facing an imminent end.

This book received numerous positive reviews and recommendations, and although we could have chosen one of the several destinations related to it, our choice was Cyprus. 

Because it is sunny and has good connections, it was ideal for the launch of our book & travel club in Paphos from 8 to 10 November 2024, upon which we had an amazing pink brunch in Zagreb the weekend after.
